Our weekend courses are designed for complete beginners as well as more experienced outdoor enthusiasts. \nWelcome to the Ultimate Bushcraft Weekend Experience\nSet in the breathtaking surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales National Park\, close to the picturesque village of Grassington\, our Bushcraft Weekend is a fully immersive outdoor experience. Whether you are stepping into the wild for the first time or looking to deepen your existing skills\, this weekend is designed to connect you with nature while teaching practical\, real-world bushcraft and survival techniques. \nYour Adventure Begins: Friday Evening\nArrival is from 6:00pm on Friday\, where you will be warmly welcomed by a roaring campfire and the inviting aroma of a freshly prepared campfire dinner\, setting the tone for a relaxed and memorable weekend. \nAfter settling in\, you can unwind\, take in the peaceful woodland surroundings\, and choose your sleeping setup. You are welcome to sleep in a hammock and tarp system\, or\, for a more immersive experience\, you will have the opportunity to build your own shelter on Saturday and spend the night in a structure you have created yourself. \nSaturday: Learn\, Build\, and Thrive\nSaturday begins with an introduction to essential bushcraft principles and safety\, led by experienced instructors with a passion for outdoor education. Throughout the day\, you will: \n  \n\n\nLearn shelter-building techniques (primitive and advanced) \n\n\nMaster traditional and modern fire craft skills \n\n\nDevelop wilderness cooking and baking techniques \n\n\nGain confidence living and working in a woodland environment \n\nGuided fishing\nWater filtration\n\nAs the day progresses\, we will venture to a nearby lake to fish for our evening meal (with vegetarian and vegan options thoughtfully provided). The evening is then spent around the campfire\, enjoying a hearty supper\, good company\, and the calming atmosphere of the woodland. \nSunday: Relaxation & Water Filtration\nSunday morning follows a slower\, more relaxed pace. You’ll then prepare and cook fresh rainbow trout using the traditional Canadian Fish Flag method\, a primitive campfire technique that produces beautifully cooked fish with an incredible smoky flavour. \nFor dessert\, you’ll prepare and bake a delicious fruit crumble over the campfire using only simple\, primitive equipment\, proving that outstanding food can be created with little more than fire\, fresh ingredients and traditional wilderness skills. \nThroughout the day\, you’ll create and enjoy a delicious two-course meal\, all prepared and cooked by you over the campfire using traditional wilderness techniques. \nWhether you’re new to outdoor cooking or looking to expand your campfire repertoire\, this unique experience will give you the confidence and practical skills to cook exceptional meals wherever your adventures take you. \n  \n \n
